What was your first experience with the internet? What year was that?

It was around 2008 when I was in high school. A friend of mine got internet access in his office (a luxury in those years here in Cuba) and he invited me to check it out. The first thing that I did was look for tutorials about building a local web server because I wanted to have the internet in my home too. That was a click for me, immediately knew that I wanted to work building stuff for the web.

Who you are? What are a few key points that make you, you?

I love to solve problems, understand how things work, building and repair things. Love football (always Barca), fitness, music, friends, books and movies. Always looking for challenges in my free time.

Where in the world do you like to work?

Ideally in a cyber coffee with a big cup of coffee or on a tropical beach with a mojito. But, in general in any place with decent internet access and good lighting.

What led you to work at Saucal?

I was looking for an opportunity to grow and mature as a programmer. That's when Saucal came (met OG via LinkedIn). I'm literally living the dream here, working with these awesome people.

What is your favourite activity outside of work?

Playing football (regular soccer, not rugby haha), fitness and watching movies with my girl.

What is your favourite food/beverage?

Just what a regular Cuban likes "Ropa Vieja" for food and Cuban rum (no ice, no coke, cowboy style or "Mojito" for a drink.

Favourite quote or song lyrics they live by (or) that best reps you?

Mmm, hard to say, but I'd take the risk with "We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them." Albert Einstein.

Most interesting story or factoid about you?

I started a PhD in Telecommunication Engineering sponsored by the Vrije University of Brussels before working here, but web development stole my heart.
