Slow stores lose sales without anyone noticing
When stores get in touch with us, it’s usually because things have gotten slow. Pages take a few seconds too long to load, checkout drags during a campaign, or the admin crawls whenever someone processes orders.
The store is still up and orders are still coming in, so it’s easy to miss what that slowness costs you. The visitors who leave before a page loads never show up in your sales numbers.
Sound familiar?
- Pages take more than a couple of seconds to load on mobile
- Checkout slows down during sales or campaigns
- Search Console flags Core Web Vitals on your product pages
- The admin drags when you process orders or edit products
- Nobody can say which plugin or integration costs you the most time
Saucal is a WooCommerce-only agency
We’ve spent more than 15 years building, fixing and running WooCommerce stores, and every scan is reviewed by one of our engineers before it reaches you.

This is for you if
A good fit
- You run WooCommerce and do roughly $1M or more a year online, or 50+ orders a day
- Slow pages or a clunky checkout cost you real revenue and you want to know how much
- You have a developer or agency who can act on a report and you need to point them at the right problems
- A big sale or Black Friday is coming and you want no surprises
Probably not yet
- Your store is still pre-launch
- You want a PageSpeed score rather than a diagnosis
- You need one known bug fixed today
What we look at
Everything we check can be seen from where your customers stand. Our tooling does the measuring, and an engineer decides which findings are real, which ones matter, and what order to fix them in.
Checkout and cart
We take a test cart through to the payment step on desktop and mobile, checking every payment and shipping option along the way. We never place a real order.
Speed
Real-visitor Core Web Vitals and load times for your home, category, product, cart and checkout pages, along with the scripts and images that slow them down.
Plugins and update risk
The plugins we can see from outside your store, checked against published vulnerability databases, including any that their developers have abandoned.
Hosting signals
Server response time, page caching, CDN and image delivery, plus SSL and security headers, so you know whether your hosting will hold up on your busiest day.
AI and search visibility
Whether search engines and AI assistants can read your prices, stock and reviews through your product data.
What we can’t see from outside
Failed orders, background jobs, your database and your code sit behind the login. The RADAR plugin scan and the Performance Audit cover those.
How it works
Send us a few details and we take it from there.
Send your address
Give us your store’s URL, your work email and your annual revenue range. We don’t need a login, a plugin or any other access.
We scan, an engineer reviews
Our tooling measures all five areas, then an engineer walks through your checkout, removes any false alarms and ranks what’s left by impact.
Your report arrives
Within one business day you’ll get a scored report and a prioritised list of fixes by email. If you’d like to talk it through, you can book a 20-minute walkthrough, but that part is entirely optional.
Every finding comes with a fix
You won’t get a 90-page data dump. Each finding explains what’s wrong, what it’s likely costing you and how to fix it, written so that your team or your current developer can act on it without needing to call us.
Because we’re looking from the outside, any cost figures are estimates based on the revenue range you give us. The example on the right shows the format.
Example Store, Store Scan
#1 Product pages take 4.8 seconds to load on mobile
Impact
Slow product pages lose paid and organic visitors before they see a price, and every extra second sends more of them away.
Findings
Three third-party scripts and an oversized hero image stop the page from rendering, so mobile visitors wait 4.8 seconds before they can see a product.
Course of Action
- Defer the scripts that block rendering.
- Serve images in a modern format, sized for mobile. Effort: about a day.
#2 Checkout slows down whenever traffic picks up
Impact
During sales and campaigns, shoppers wait longer at the cart and checkout, and some of them leave.
Course of Action
- Cache the parts of the cart that are the same for every shopper.
- Add PHP workers, or move to hosting built for WooCommerce checkout.
Three ways to go deeper
Most stores start with the free scan. If you want to see more of what’s happening behind the login, there are two further options, and each one answers questions the last one can’t.

Is the Store Scan really free?
Yes. Most stores we scan have at least one problem worth fixing, so we’d rather show you something useful than ask for a call first. Some stores never hire us, and that’s fine.
Do you need access to my store?
No. The scan only looks at what any visitor can see, so we don’t need a login, a plugin or admin access, and we never place a real order.
What can’t an outside scan see?
Anything behind the login, such as your real order and payment data, background jobs, the database, your code and your server. That’s why cost figures are estimates, and why the RADAR plugin scan and the Performance Audit exist.
Will the scan slow down my store?
No. It makes about as many requests as a handful of shoppers browsing for a few minutes, and we won’t run any load testing without your permission.
How is this different from PageSpeed Insights or GTmetrix?
Those tools score the speed of a single page. The Store Scan also walks through your checkout on real devices, checks your plugins against known vulnerabilities and reads your caching and product data, and an engineer decides which findings matter most and what to fix first.
Will you call me afterwards?
Only if you ask us to. Your report includes a link to book a 20-minute walkthrough, and we’ll send a single follow-up email a week later to see whether you have any questions.
