Yellowknife, NT, Canada

What was your first experience with the internet? What year was that?

I remember my teachers hyping up the net in like '94, selling the dream that you can talk to anyone, anywhere in the world. It seemed crazy at the time, and all I imagined were satellites and pen pals. In '96 I got dial-up at home, and it was on! Growing up in the NWT, we had something called North of 60, which was like a territory wide Facebook. I was hooked.  I also got into lot's of trouble. :)

Where in the world do you like to work?

Sitting at my desk at home, or perched on my laptop in an Airbnb. Or, cruising the streets and using my phone. I love being in modern, warm spaces with lots of windows.

For the freedom to work where I want, and to put my focus on internet technology.

What is your favourite activity outside of work?

That's easy - travel & bitcoin.

What is your favourite food/beverage?

Meat and veggies.

Favourite quote or song lyrics they live by (or) that best reps you?

"When I was dead broke, man I couldn't picture this
50 inch screen, money green leather sofa
Got two rides, a limousine with a chauffeur
Phone bill about two G's flat
No need to worry, my accountant handles that"

Most interesting story or factoid about you?

At age of 12, I was suspended from school for accessing sensitive data about teaching staff. The RCMP nearly got involved until my parents assured them there was so much more to me than just hacking. This proved true two years later, when one of my websites was featured during a live broadcast of MuchMusic, Canada’s original version of MTV.

Life has no limitations, except the ones you make.
